Overview
The Global Reconsume Project (GRP) is underway. After many years of planning, strategizing, and testing concepts related to free, surplus and abundance, the GRP has assembled a core group of dedicated individuals that are taking the project global.
This document serves as a snapshot overview of what the GRP stands for and how we are looking to expand our reach and build a team to do so. We are actively looking for people to join our team and support this paradigm shifting opportunity that is already forming in Alberta.
The GRP is a for profit business built on the values of abundance and personal responsibility. We are composed of social-eco entrepreneurs seeking other like minded citizens to join us in a real action to create civil change in our communities and have a lasting global impact. The GRP is a bottom up, community driven, quadruple bottom line business venture founded on resource based economics. What you will encounter is a locally run venture that is not funded or operated by governments, cultural groups, religious organizations, not for profits or environmental groups. The GRP represents an aligning of the flow of the reconsumables with all peoples of the earth. We are creating a reconsuming model for us all wherein civil access to the resources is a common experience.
The GRP operates Reconsume Centers (RCs) and Pass-it-on Surplus events which are, in part, depots or spaces for community members to bring items that are still useful but they no longer need or want. People, or companies, pay to place their unwanted items, into these spaces, within which, there is a fair redistribution system in which the items are not sent to landfills. Reconsume Centers and Pass-it-on Surplus events are common ground environments. The GRP creates common ground through the opening of Reconsume Centers and hosting Pass-it-on Surplus event in many communities. The access to the resource is clearly defined in the corporate structure insuring fair access, civility and ongoing dedication to excellence in the reconsumption process.
The GRP is designed to span the globe. This dual service, operating in both the real and virtual worlds, will enable people to list and find any item in the world. The GRP structure includes the first ever on the planet global database of all available reconsumables (resources). With our database on-line, the world for the first time in history will have access to every item that anyone is trying to sell, trade, find or move.

Currently, globally, there is no system in place that prevents unwanted but useful items, from entering our landfills, or from being removed from the common need.
The size of the reconsume resource (market) includes every single thing our civilization has created from all our manufacturing, transportation, redistribution from all our industries, cities, governments. Everything that has been created or will be created worldwide is a part of the resource that the GRP intercepts. The GRP structure will include the first ever on the planet global database of all available reconsumables (resources).
The market is enormous. Our market is EVERY ITEM that anyone has ever or will ever make. We seek to be the first in line to capture any useful item that its current owner no longer desires.
